Industry 4.0 adoption – Renault Partnering with Google Cloud

Friday 11th September, 2020

industry-4.0-adoption

Industry 4.0 is something you may have heard about a lot recently, it’s the fourth industrial revolution. Companies all across the industries have been advancing their technology, especially in AI and Automation.

In fact, Google Cloud and Groupe Renault announced a technology partnership to accelerate the process. This partnership aims at optimising their independently operated industrial data management platform, since they’ve been developing a platform since 2016 to aggregate industrial data from 22 group sites worldwide.

Putting time and energy into optimising AI in your automotive business is becoming more widespread across this industry in particular. AI and Automation helps improve accuracy, optimises time spent on specific tasks and helps quality control. Additionally, Renault are reducing their environmental impact through energy savings – which can be achieved by switching to modern automated systems as well.

Whilst Renault are making partnerships, Honda are excelling their production lines with AI and the likes of BMW are using technology in their paint shops. Automated systems are nothing new though, they’ve been steadily growing for a number of years. Looking to invest in saving time, energy and money? We can help.

“The automotive industry has innovation in its DNA, and there is immense potential for digital technology to have a significant impact on production.” says Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud.
